We are committed to making The Grammar School education affordable to as many families as possible. We encourage families to apply for admission regardless of financial circumstances.

We believe socioeconomic diversity enriches the educational experience for all of our students and we offer a tuition adjustment program. We ask every family to contribute to the cost of their child's education to the extent they are able. Receiving a tuition adjustment is need-based and helps to offset the cost of tuition, activity, and bus fees.

What Can I Expect to Pay?

  • More than 60% of the student body receives an adjusted tuition. Tuition adjustments are considered a grant and do not have to be paid back.

  • For the 2018-19 school year, we allocated over $300,000 in tuition assistance to families with annual household incomes primarily within the range of $20,000 to $125,000.

  • Tuition rates for families who receive an adjustment range from $1,425 to $15,500.

Middle School Tuition Vouchers

The Grammar School offers a special tuition rate for 7th and 8th grade students from tuitioning towns (towns that do not have a designated middle school) so that families will be responsible only for an annual activity fee and any applicable bus fees.

The majority of our students from tuitioning towns come from Westminster, Athens, Grafton, Vernon, and Dover.
