Four compositions by five fifth through seventh grade students from The Grammar School have been selected to be performed at the Vermont Midi Project's Opus 20 free concert on Wednesday, April 28, at the Latchis Theatre in Brattleboro at 6:30 pm. The winners are: Spring Day Stroll by Lucie Foster and Ona Hauert, Sunbeams by Claire Thomas, Wanderer by Jamie Lumley, and Winter Solstice by Libby Green. Under the direction of Alli Lubin, Head of the Music Program and Technology Administrator, these young composers join the list of ten former TGS Opus winners: Jacob Knapp, Miles Hume, Colin Clark, Brooke Mooney, Katelyn Donovan, Julian Stolper, Tim Quimby, Nathaniel Todd Long, Antonia Dufort, and Michaela Shea-Gander. It was The Grammar School's active participation in the VT Midi Project that encouraged project director Sandi MacLeod to bring the Opus concert to southern Vermont for the first time. Let's fill the Latchis Theatre and welcome this outstanding program to our corner of Vermont!
