The Grammar School in Putney began its 49th year on September 2nd.   Along with 15 new students, TGS welcomes three new staff members this year.  All are eager to be part of the school; as a six year old announced on the first day, “This school is awesome!” and a twelve year old said it was “the best day ever” at school.

She has served as a nurse at Vermont Academy and Springfield Hospital, and is currently employed part time at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital.  Sarah began the year by teaching a CPR/First Aid refresher course to all the faculty and staff.

Patty Stickney, Upper School socials skills counselor, will work with 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students on a weekly basis throughout the school year. Patty has worked as a Masters Level Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor at Vermont Academy as a school counselor and in a private practice in the Saxtons River community.
