When my daughters were born, I was determined to ensure that they would have the very best educational experience possible. Upon visiting The Grammar School, I was immediately struck by this vibrant community of learners. The children seemed remarkably happy. There was LOTS happening everywhere. The excitement expressed by teachers and students was palpable. You could feel it. I immediately knew TGS was the school.

When friends, family and neighbors ask me about TGS, I share that there has never been a single day they did not want to go to school. As Development Director, I am able to partake in and share the joy and beauty expressed at TGS with the rest of the world.

TGS Grandparent: “ When I think about TGS, I think about the extent to which the kids are enriched by such a broad experience. Those special things can be done only because of the devotion of staff AND the commitment of the entire TGS community. A contribution is not just a gift. It is an investment in the school and in the children.”

The primary role of the Development office is, of course, to raise funds to keep the school moving forward. Financial aid, a vibrant arts and music program, the latest in technology and an outstanding faculty are made possible thanks to the support of individuals who believe in TGS and its mission. In addition, cultivating and sustaining relationships within and outside the TGS community remain a critical component. Friend-raising and fund-raising are one and the same.

I hope you will join me in supporting TGS. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Mark R. Green
